About Treacle Market

Treacle Market takes place on the last Sunday of each month, apart from December which in 2023 falls on Sunday 17th December.

Open each time 10am-3.30pm (but often active before then for early birds).

The market started in 2010 and each month sees the handsome cobbled Marketplace, Old Butter Market, St Michael's churchyard and surrounding streets throng with  visitors and over 160 stalls of unique crafts, exceptional lovingly produced food & drink & vintage finds. Many local shops, galleries & cafes are open on the day also.

'Came to the Treacle Market on Sunday and met so many lovely, friendly people. I think Treacle Market is the best of all the artisan and makers markets.' E B Warrington

Eating at Treacle

Start the day with a special sausage sandwich, excellent coffee or divine freshly baked croissants. Lunch from one of the many street food stalls could be freshly made paella, dhosas,  tacos or... we promise you won't go hungry!

Look out for the Treacle VG signs- it tells you there is something delicious and Vegan on the stall for you.
